七 ❀ valentine's event
[ Good morning, Taiwan! It's Valentine's Day. You have to wake up real early so you can get all the chocolate before the other girls do. That's the whole point of this holiday, isn't it?
Taiwan's wide awake - she's all dressed up, too! Oh, you thought she didn't have a date this year? Well, there's a certain someone she wants to give chocolates to... But before that, she makes a trip to the mailbox to check if she's received anything important. You may not know this, but she's pretty popular, you know! Or so she likes to think. But today, she doesn't find any greeting cards, flowers or love letters - only an envelope similar to the one that arrived last month. Strange. She wonders what it is this time. Picking it out of the mailbox, she opens the envelope - wait. Wait. Something's missing. Oh, right. Background music. ]
[ She opens the envelope... and all these memories start coming back. Her, and Hong Kong. They've always been together for as long as they can remember, but circumstances would always be the one to pull them away and break them apart. Not wanting to let go as everyone tells them to, they decide meet in secret. Hiding from China, being by Hong Kong's side despite everything - she'd grow to love it all.
WHOA WHOA WAIT HOLD THE PHONE. Does that mean she's been hanging out with him all this time and he knew, but didn't say a thing about it? That's horrible. She's horrible! What's worse is if he found out she forgot - oh, and she made all this chocolate with Ciel for Japan -
The chocolate. Oh. Oh no. Oh no, if he finds out, it'll break his heart. And we all know that Hong Kong is a big, fat woobie. She dashes back up to her room and takes the box of Hello Kitty-shaped chocolates in her hands. If she changes the tag, he won't notice, right? "Here are your chocolates, Happy Valentine's Day! By the way, I'm sorry I forgot all about our secret relationship, but I remember it now, so please forgive me, okay?" Like hell that'll work! W-well maybe, maybe if she leaves out that last bit, she'll be alright. She has to see him! But she can't let anyone else find out... ]
[ phone call; filtered to Hong Kong ]
[ in a hushed tone ] Wei, Hong Kong! Hong Kong! Can you come over? I don't wanna wake everyone else up. [ about to end it there, but then she adds, ] Oh, and don't let teacher see you, okay? Bye bye. [ HANGS UP before he can say anything else because god if she heard his voice right now that'd be embarrassing ]

Mm. I got you these. [he hands over the flowers]
...And I made you these. [shuffles over to the porch where he'd left a box before all the chaos started :| good thing too because they'd have been squished.
sweetheart cakes ;u;
AND SHE CAN EAT ALL OF THEM HERSELF AND HE WON'T COMPLAIN AT ALL what is going on lmfao]
no subject
smells the roses when he turns around heeee and when she follows him to where the cakes are, her face lights up even more. wah did he really make 'em for her? ;u; ]
Xiexie!
[ Taiwan thinks they've stayed here for too long, though. ]
Aah, Japan and Chizuko should be awake by now - let's get out of here! [ First, she takes his hand. Then, with his hand, she takes the ribbon holding the box on the porch. Lastly, she pulls him and her cake along with her, running to wherever they can spend a nice Valentine's Day together yaaaay Hong Kong can't complain about how fast she runs. ]
no subject
[well, running this fast is kind of annoying- he hasn't had a complete personality transplant after all- but he's also just thinking how cute it is that she's so eager and stuff... oh god he's ill.
but he's noticed something as they run along]
...Hey, is it just me, or are like, lots of the drones staring at us and stuff? [and they don't exactly look pleased for the two of them...]
no subject
It's because you're fat. 'Cause you don't work out a lot.
1/2
but he squeezes her hand a bit to show her he's just teasing...]
no subject
They look kinda ticked off. Or grossed out or something.
no subject
Why? How come? ... We're not doing anything wrong, are we? [ steps closer and squeezes his hand tighter in return. A couple of drone shake their heads in disgust. ]
no subject
then moves to put an arm around her. sure enough, the reaction is even worse now] ...You don't think like, they're picking up on how people reacted to us back home...?
1/3
no subject
There's no way they could know...
no subject
When she catches a drone staring at them, she snaps, ] What are you looking at?
[ walks faster!! ]
no subject
i'm going to do this forever 1/2
Why? It's always like this. Only when they give our memories back that they try to take something precious away from us again. This... [ she lifts her arm for a second and drops it to her side ] I know it's wrong. It's wrong!
[ her palm covers her eye as she tilts her head back a bit. she's not crying, but she's frustrated. ]
But is it also wrong to be happy?
no subject
So let's be as happy as we can today! Yay, yay! [ airpunches!! ]
[ Well, even if she's like this all the time, it looks a little forced. ]
no subject
...so he winds up pulling her into a hug]
...We can run away when we get home, okay. Like they do on tv or in movies.
no subject
Like in [ sniff ] Toradora?
no subject
Uh... Yeah... Like that... [chu on the head ;u;]
no subject
gasp that gives her an idea ]
I know! [ drags him along with her free hand and starts running again! actually this calls for another song 8| lmao she's probably petting puppies and looking at cakes and playing in the sprinklers along the way as they run to... wherever they're headed. actually it's
the church ]
Tadaaaa.
no subject
he's just staring at the church...]
...You...Wanna hang out here? [lmfao because that's totally normal
i-is she thinking what he thinks she's thinking?]
no subject
[ logic
leads him in ]
no subject
and cute dokidoki
he thought... okay he's not gonna say why he thought she'd dragged him here because um y-yeah l-lmao]
...I like, guess that's true.
no subject
sob
drags him down the aisle until she stops halfway to get a look at the cross ]
[ shakes her head ] They didn't want him to be happy either.
[ but forget that! they go back to her usual running pace until they're in front of the altar
and she turns around and looks back at him. she's smiling but uhh oh gosh it's just the two of them and they're in this spot and why did she bring him here again this is embarrassing... ]
no subject
y-yeah this spot a-and she's still holding those flowers, he shuffles his feet a bit and avoids eye contact for a moment
then he reaches to take the box of cakes off her and set them down with chocolates. he then takes her other hand and puts it round the flowers with the other one]
...You're like, meant to hold them like that, right? [oh god this is so embarrassing and he looks so awkward and his face is going red and ahhhhhhh]
no subject
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh what are you doing hong kong, now she's just as red as you are! w-whatever, she'll try to laugh this feeling off. h-haha! ]
You're blushing!
no subject
t-trying to act cool okay.
and failing]
I'm not. You're totally seeing things.
And like, what about you? [he points to where her cheeks have gone red]
