[ phone ]
Hi! If anyone still wants to try out the bubble tea on the menu at the cosplay cafe, they'll only be on the menu while stocks last, so if you're too late after you hear this, that's not my fault anymore, okay?
But hey, I heard something about a prom? Wah, it sounds like so much fun! Who's going? I think I am. Yep, definitely. I think it'd be really cool if I got to go with prince or something like that. Like the ones in Goong. [Now she's a little depressed.] ... only Korea knows what I'm talking about again... [Then she remembers!] Ah, are there any princes in Mayfield? Can anyone ask for me!?
I have to get something to wear, too. Mm, there's so much to do, I wonder if I can make it...
[ action ]
[ Prom means snazzy clothes. The Doctor does not have any. Taiwan knows this. So later on in the day after her phone call, you'll find the two doing the following: ]
[ A Taiwan pulling the Doctor by the wrist as they go window shopping. ]
Wow... Look, look! I think this one will really make jiejie fall for you! [ She taps on the glass. What she's pointing at looks awfully flashy... ]
[The Doctor is being pulled, perhaps slightly against his will, and looking confused as to how the hell he got into this situation.]
Are you quite sure that's what she likes? I mean... I don't know, does anyone even know what she likes? ...Is that something that people like? Because it's really... [awful] Well, I mean it's... very... really... something.
It'll make the Doctor really something!
Well, something is a word for it.
[ B In one of the shops, picking out suits for the Doctor. ]
I saw JJ Lin wear something like this once! But he's not very cute. [ Puts that one away, gets another. ] This will make you look like Takeshi Kaneshiro!
I have absolutely... no idea what or who that is. And honestly they don't sound too impressive. Bowties on the other hand are very impressive, especially when you wear them while saving the universe. So what I'm saying is, I think I'm already quite impressive. ...Oh, you're not listening at all are you? Fine then.
[ C Taiwan depriving the Doctor of his clothes and his pretty cool bowtie. While she's going around looking for more clothes for the Doctor to try on (oh dear lord) she's made him stand in the middle of the store. Shirtless. ]
It'll help you build more confidence! Wait there, okay? [ TAKING HER TIME LALALA ]
[ The Doctor is watching her closely. Really he doesn't seem all that embarrassed! He's more cold than anything as he occasionally shivers and crosses his arms over his chest and is totally oblivious to the scandalized reactions of any drones. He seems a bit agitated though whenever he loses sight of Taiwan. ]
Oi! Do you still have my tweed and bowtie? I had to regain those you know. You can't just toss them away. Seriously, don't even think about it. I'm out of things to trade back to the Post for my tie. Besides, tweed is classic, you know.
...And again with the not listening. Aside from being extremely handsome, why did I end up with this face being the one that no one ever listens to!
[ D Alternatively, hipster Doctor. ]
Aiya! Doctor, you look really cool now!
[ The Doctor inspects his clothes, looking rather miserable, but doing his best to hide it and failing rather spectacularly. So really he's simply sulking. ]
Are you sure this is what normal humans wear? Because I'm not really feeling very... cool at the mo. More like... really really... ridiculous. Honestly, I think she's going to laugh. I think I'd have much better luck with the bowtie. I was wearing one when Marilyn Monroe started to fancy me, you know. And Marylin, she knew what was cool.
[ Taiwan puts her hands on her hips. You know she means business when she does that. ] Doctor! Are you really going to let yourself get hung up over that bowtie?

I could make some time in my schedule. No sense missing out on a perfect opportunity to watch idiots squirm. [his definition of 'a bit of trouble' may be slightly different]

[Considering how often he trips simply walking... this is a horrible idea.]

...I'm certain they will go together better than fish fingers and custard, at the very least.

This is going to be an excellent night. We'll have to drag Sen along.

[Looks pleased as well because that is an unusually positive response for Charles!]
Really? Well, good. Because I certainly am. ...Should I buy her a dress.
no subject
You should have one made, the quality will be better than if you buy one from a shop here.

[He pauses at the suggestion. He's bad with girls, even he knows it. So he figures at whatever Charles suggests, it's probably a good one. He leans closer to Charles, wrapping an arm around his shoulder to talk secretly to him. Probably for no other reason than because it makes things seem more exciting.]
And how do you suggest I do that? I don't really know where to look for girls clothes and dunno if you've noticed but I'm a bit clumsy sometimes. So I'm afraid that it might be slightly disastrous if I tried to do it myself.

Your clumsiness is a bit difficult to miss, yes. [he can already see the pin and scissor massacre his attempts at sewing might be] You could give the town a call and see if any tailor will take your commission. There are quite a few good ones, I would recommend Alice or Abel.

Alice or Abel, right.
...Who are they?

[He lets go of Charles and turns away, as though to go do that right now, before turning back around]
What do you think suits her.
no subject
Silk or chiffon would be best, in something green or blue. [the latter because he is biased...]

[And he repeats what Charles advises, as though trying to remember exactly what he's been told.]
And then I just go up to one of these blokes and tell them to make me a dress? ...Well, not me, but I'll give it to her later.
no subject
Precisely, and that's all there is to it. -Ah, you will need measurements of course, but I'm sure you can manage that.
