No, that should theoretically be impossible. From my understanding, a nation like you and miss Vietnam are the embodiment of an entire country and all its people. Even if you're cut away from them here, you're still on a completely different level than a normal human being, and changing the nature of what you are would mean changing all its people too. ...I realize that I'm hypothesizing, but the odds are low.
But I do agree with you on the second part. If it's someone who recently arrived and hasn't gotten their nation body back, then it's possible that they have been turned into one by another vampire in Mayfield. Do you have doubts?
