The state of the Republic of China, otherwise known as Taiwan (that's me!!! ) and Charles _{[ huge space to accomodate the last name she doesn't know, plus a drawing of a babby bat thing ]} , brought together on this day as they celebrate the miracle of friendship, hereby agree to the following:

Article I! Both parties, having mutually recognized their status of allegiance, declare themselves allies, pals, companions, amigos, nakama and umm a lot of other things you can say instead of friend! There are a lot, you know.

Article II! Because of Article I, they are never ever ever allowed to say they are not friends! Unless it's a really important thing, or if they don't really mean it, or if they have to, I guess. But in the meantime, this treaty will remain in force indefinitely!!!

Article III! In case of an attack on either party, the other must assist them in their time of need! The parties should always help each other out and stuff, even if the situation looks kind of bad or Teacher is being a bigger, meaner jerk than usual, because that's what real friends would do. The loser who does not help the other girl (or guy) has to buy ice cream for her (or him) for a whole week!

Article IV! A party will not harm any of the opposite party's friends, no matter how much they hate them. But if both parties have come to the conclusion that it is perfectly okay to do so, then it's okay! I hope that does not happen, though. That would be bad.

Article V! Should the parties come into conflict, they absolutely must reconcile post-haste! Even if they think the other person is wrong or stupid or fat. (I don't get fat though hehehe )

Article VI! If Charles gets a girlfriend, he should tell jiejie right away.

Article VII! This treaty will come into effect as soon as both of us sign it, you know!!

Article VIII! I can't think of anything else! I just wanted it to have a nice, even number.

and just signs it as Charles..... and then looks like he's about to ball it up entirely.]

I don't think the mouse has a taste for paper, but it might make an exception for this.

Why? What's the point in being prepared to sign treaties and the like if hardly any of the recipients are actual countries? It seems a strange way to go about doing things, and one that wouldn't bring you much success.

Because, 'cause I've always wanted to do stuff like this! Even if it doesn't really count! No matter how many friends I make, I can't make them sign anything 'cause Teacher won't let them. He doesn't like me making friends, especially when they sign stuff with me, 'cause then he'll make life difficult for them and it's all gonna be my fault, you know. But I need them to sign! But I can't be selfish; it's so unfair. It's hard finding friends who stay for real 'cause they always leave and they make so many excuses when they do. Not just countries, but people, too. _{[ Dying is not an excuse, Taiwan... ]} I know why they do, but I still don't like it, okay.
