_{[ Someone's practicing her swings at the ball park again. Without Yamamoto around, it's been pretty lonely. But that! Is okay! Because pitching machines exist. Taiwan's a little out of it, though. Which is strange. Have a baseball flying at you right... now. ]}

_{[ At the library, she's putting those books on making clothes to good use. On her sketchbook, she is drawing costumes and coloring them in while quietly humming pop songs, and maybe anime themes, yes... You might recognize some of them. ]}

_{[ Returning to her house at 1245 Williams Road from... shenanigans, Taiwan gets to work in the kitchen to test the waters, so to speak. If she wants to open up a restaurant, the food has to be quality. What's that smell? Someone got a little too excited with making tonight's dinner. Seriously, this meal is fit for five kings! ... Four kings now, she supposes, without Chizuko around. Taiwan sets the last of her dishes down and gives herself an applause. ]}

Yay, I did it! _{[ at like 5 pm ]}

Oh no, I guess it's too early... Well, at least I'm done! Hehehe. _{[ Not that early. Feel free to follow the smell of chicken, pork and egg drop soup wafting out of the window. ]}

Yeah, that's right! So let's wait for Japan and Homura, then we can have a nice and happy dinner.

_{[ She walks over to the table to fix it up a little. With her back turned to Nadeko, she asks, ]}

Mm, Nadeko, did anything happen while we were gone?

[ She nods, but after Taiwan turns around and answers that question.. She completely freezes up for a few moments. The emotions clearly flash on her face as she thinks of it all - Homura being droned, but suddenly becoming dangerous, muderous, Chizuko drinking the milk, and--

... She feels like crying just thinking about it again. But she forces the feeling down before Taiwan can turn around again. ]

... No.. nothing at all. Why would you think that, Taiwan-san? [ lying feels bad, but telling the truth would be even worse. ]

_{[ Taiwan is oblivious to whatever Nadeko's feeling at this moment. Maybe it is for the best that she remain so. ]} Ah! Well, the town always has those weird events every month, you know? I was worried that I might've missed some stuff.

_{[ She turns around briefly before setting the table again. ]}

But... I guess we already had that, right? An event. The day when we got locked up in places and stuff. Hehe, that wasn't so bad.

Hmm, that's right. Since we had that, there was nothing at all going on while you were gone.

[ And she manages to make it actually sound convincing - she even forces up a tiny smile. ]

Wah, that's good. I wonder what we'll get this time.

_{[ Holds on to the backrest of one chair and leans along with it as she makes it rock back and forth. ]}

I hope I get something nice again. What did you get last time, Nadeko? You got a hat some time ago, didn't you?

I first got my hat, and then a while ago I got my jacket as well.. And, um, most recently it were my normal clothes from home. I don't have many special things to get, I guess, ehehe.

Taiwan lets go of the chair and sits on it, placing her arms on the backrest as she faces Nadeko. ]</sub>

That's alright. Maybe I'll get more ingredients for bubble tea this month, then you can have as much as you want!

Hmm! [ nodnod. She seems a bit genuinely happy now.. ] Taiwan-san is my.. family. [ She's actually putting a bit of emphasis on that last word, since it sounds so nice. And she has a habit of making other people her family randomly.. ] Everyone else in the house too.

Koyomi isn't here right now, but that doesn't mean Japan and I will stop looking out for Nadeko. _{[ She grins again. ]} Because the reason why we're doing this is more than a promise now!

_{[ Well, that's always been true for Japan - Nadeko was one of his people, after all. So this statement mainly applied to Taiwan, who's never had any of her own people in Mayfield, but feels the need to hold on to the important relationships doesn't often get to build at this moment. ]}

It's just nice having family that gets along for once... _{[ It's not her own people or other countries like China that make it up, but her family in Mayfield was special in this way, however fake everything else may be. ]}
