On one hand, she looks like she could use some help! On the other, she looks like she's having so much fun... She doesn't celebrate Christmas, not like this, but cold weather and recent events have gotten her in a Christmas mood.

The cafe isn't open around this time yet, but passerby may notice the sudden addition of a pair of plum blossom trees in her front yard. ]

Look, I'm a Christmas tree!

[ Chances are she's talking to Pops, Nadeko or Homura, who are inside the house, but feel free to approach her while she's decorating, too. ]

Are nations allowed to kiss each other? Is that okay? If your nation kissed another nation, would that be okay with you? [ A beat. ] What if they weren't a nation?

No, I don't. [scooting the can of paint over to Taiwan... maybe if they have something to do they won't be so awkward!] What's truly sad is the fact that I can't tell whether you honestly believe that or not.

I wasn't aware that it included keeping sordid romances under wraps. But that's just common decency, so you've nothing to fret over.

But I don't want to do any sort of finger painting or... [trails off and watches Taiwan leave why..... then looks over at Hong Kong in his usual irritated fashion.]

...And like I could stop you anyway. [ And now is a good time to start rummaging around in the cupboards for snacks of course. ]

[ Sprints down the stairs, across the hall and into the kitchen! She brought papers, boxes of paint and some newspapers to keep the floor clean. ]

Got them! [ Sets everything down neatly. ] Now everyone play nice and make sure not to get anything on the furniture, alright? Does Charles like blue? Here's some blue. [ Gives the blue paint to Charles and pats him on the head. ]

Hong Kong can have some red. [ Gently... and awkwardly... pries his hands away from the cupboard to put a small bottle of red paint in his hands. S... smiles!!!! ] Okay?

At least you know that. [poor Hong Kong.....

he is busy watching the snack scavenging, ready to swoop in like a vulture when something delicious is found but then there is SUDDENLY PAINTS instead. oh no what is this why is it like kindergarten all over again]

Must we? There doesn't seem to be much of a point to this activity. [waving the blue paint around... your furniture will be a memory by the end of the day]

[ Aw Charles, don't be a killjoy, Hong Kong is totally into this. EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NO SNACKS.

He's already put his paper down, after putting some newspaper underneath of course and is doodling something. ] Charles, if you wanna do a picture of like, you devouring the still-beating hearts of your enemies or whatever, you can totally borrow the red after me.

[ Laughs! ] We can paint whatever we want to paint, so just have fun with it, okay? [ Look, she's already started. THAT MEANS CHARLES HAS TO DO IT, TOO. ]

Mine is going to be the best, of course.

You can't eat a still-beating heart. Don't you know how unpleasant that feels? [wow he sure is learning great things about deadpan snarking from you, not!dad. because that... that was clearly a joke, yes!

but after a moment he huffs and sets up some paper over the newspaper, uncapping the blue paint.] You must find walking through doorways to be a challenge with that big head of yours. [pride is only okay if it's him!!]

Does sound like it would be pretty gross, yeah. [ Just pretty gross, yep. ]

...I'm calling this piece 'Taiwan'. [ Yes, that is a piglet that he's drawing. ]

[ Makes this face at Charles when he's not looking. And she is unfazed by all this talk about still-beating hearts... ]

[ Wait, what is that. What is that. She reaches to dip her finger in the red paint and begins drawing a big, fat pig. ]

Then I'm calling this one 'Hong Kong'!

[what is that face you're lucky he's too distracted by conversations of beating hearts and drawing some paint blob on his paper or he would never stop laughing...]

It is gross, and you most certainly do not. [addressing both of them in one sentence yeaaah so lazy. but his interest has been caught and he peers over to see what the fuss is about

and immediately snickers....]

What stunning realism. Painting must come naturally to the both of you.

It does. [ So modest, HK. Peering at the pig Taiwan is drawing. ] That's like, way more of self-portrait though, don't you think?

[ Piggy completed and he's moved on to splodging a picture of a very tiny, poofy and disgruntled looking bat... Wonder who that's supposed to be. ]

[ Get out, Hong Kong! Puts a dab of red paint on his cheek!! But then she scoots over to his side, curious about what he's painting next. That bat looks familiar. ]

Ah, you forgot his cape.

[looks over at the mention of capes why Charles]

...How very clever. [he'd paint something in retaliation but his skills are not great enough for successful insults! that is a true tragedy...] Why've you made it so small and harmless looking?

[ Doodling Charles the bat a little cape ;o;

Then splodges some paint on Taiwan's nose. So mature. ]

'Cause that's how you look when you're not making crazy eyes and stuff.

That's a horrid way of putting things. [no it is an accurate way of putting things... but he looks offended nonetheless. no one can win!!]

And I'll have you know that, regardless of my expression, I'm not cute either. [nope nope nope scooting his paints and papers awaaay]

Ah, now he's sulking.
